HOUSTON, May 17, 2024  – Ketjen Corporation, a leader in catalyst and specialty chemicals manufacturing, today announced the appointment of Shane Carr to Chief Operating Officer (COO) effective today. Carr has been serving in an interim COO capacity since January of this year. 

In this role as COO, Carr will oversee the company’s manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, process technology and engineering organizations and will report directly to Ketjen’s President, Michael Simmons.

Carr brings nearly 20 years of industry experience and has held a number of leadership positions of increasing responsibility with Ketjen. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana Tech University and earned a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
